The short version

No account. We never sell your data. Your bill details auto-delete in 7 days. The personal details you type into your letter never reach our servers at all.

Your bill details

What you enter in the bill form (provider, amounts, what went wrong, hardship notes) is sent to our servers to create your assessment and, if you purchase, your letter. We store it for up to 7 days so your letter page keeps working, then it is deleted automatically. We do not read it, sell it, or use it for marketing. We never write it to server logs.

To generate your assessment and letter, your bill details are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) for the sole purpose of producing your documents. Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API to train its models.

Your name, address, and contact details in the letter

The fill-in fields on the letter page (name, address, phone, email, account number) work entirely inside your browser. Those values are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. When you close the page, they are gone unless you saved or printed your letter.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your email and payment details and retains transaction records as payment processors are required to do. We can see your email and purchase record there, which lets us issue refunds and respond to problems. After purchase, we use that email once to send you the link to your letter. We will not add you to a marketing list without asking you first.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they use, and which actions they take (such as starting the free assessment or beginning checkout). This uses cookies and similar identifiers and may collect your approximate location, device, and browser type. It never receives the contents of your bill or the personal details you type into your letter, and we do not sell your personal information. Google may use this data in accordance with its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites using Google's browser add-on.

We also use Vercel Analytics, which collects aggregate, anonymized traffic data without cookies or persistent identifiers. It does not include the contents of anything you typed.
